About Me
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, practicing in the Boston area for over 25 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, and have appreciated working with all types of people, from adolescents in the DSS and DYS system, to young adults discovering who they are separate from their families while remaining connected, to couples wishing to feel better together, to adult children and their parents, wanting to shift unhealthy patterns.
I primarily focus on couples and family work. Having been married for over 30 years, and raising my own children, I know the work it takes to get through the ups and downs of long-term relationships, as well as the rewards of doing that work.
Education
I received my BA in Psychology from Bates College and my MSW from Smith College School for Social Work.
I have done a great deal of post-graduate learning, most notably, a two-year training in Couples and Family Therapy through PCFINE (Psychodynamic Couples and Family Institute of New England) and a one-year course in Couples Therapy through Therapy Training Boston.
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
“To be human is to need others, and this is no flaw or weakness.”
